Adams Drugs Test 2 Treat Program is an opportunity for us to serve our community by offering rapid testing for Flu and Strep A. Patients experiencing symptoms consistent with strep or flu such as: fever, body aches, runny nose, nasal congestion, sore throat cough, headache, etc. can come into the pharmacy and be assessed by one of our clinically trained pharmacists. Following an assessment that will include things such as blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, respiration rate and a review of your history and symptoms the pharmacist will determine whether or not it is appropriate to test you for Flu A/B or Strep A or sometimes both. The pharmacist will make recommendations for treatment based on your test results, those treatments may include prescription medications or possibly just over the counter supportive medications to manage symptoms. While you are waiting, we will fill your prescription and/or gather recommended over the counter products and you will receive counseling/education on those items. Following your appointment, our pharmacist will reach out to you to follow up within 48 hours to be sure that the recommended treatments are having the desired effects.
